Yes I have a freelander and always use the DIY re gas stuff from Halfords it will only fit on the correct port and built in gauge shows pressure. Just follow the instructions on the can. P.S it's the low pressure port to be filled with aircon running at max.

Took the Gaylander out today and no vibration at all, looks like it was the after market driveshafts. The OEM driveshaft seemed much better quality and the drive is unbelievably much smoother. They might cost more but worth the money. I got the OEM GKN type from Bearmach for £240

Update!! Changed driveshaft and vibration is still there but 10 times better now, took it to my mates garage and he confirmed the output shaft bearings have to much play in them, possibly caused by the after market shafts? So only a little vibration now. Tip of the day. When you replace the...

Ok update! I've just purchase a OEM GKN drive shaft, I will be fitting it Saturday and I'll update on if its cured the vibration? Fingers crossed

Well it's bearable at the moment. If it gets any worse then like you say it should be easier to detect.

Also I have replaced all the diff mountings!

Hi is that where the chassis cracks under the rear subframe? if so i have also welded that, the vibration/wobble is also there when i remove the propshaft?

Hi thanks for the reply, yeah i think its about 3mm of play, exhaust seems ok? supports hangers ect, would the exhaust cause the car to shake on acceleration?

o5f94rkjr040 Yes i dont think tensile strength is a issue with these, they were only M6 bolts i think? and the U brackets are quite thin! Good luck with changing them i think that even if they was not rusted i would still remove the subframe, may take a little more time but makes the job alot...

In the manual it says to lower the subframe slightly and you can then get to the anti-roll bar bolts to undo them!!!! I think that would work if it was a new car and the bloody bolts wasn't rusted in!

Possibly? i'm not sure how they do it, the guy i spoke to there was very helpful, i don't off road much only sometimes on my way to work if i take the scenic route so it suits me fine and less worry about putting stress on the IRD.

Thanks roccotune, I've tried 3 different drive shafts, not original or GKN though? i was just trying to find out how the bearings come out, gearbox off or pulled out of the side? No one seems to know! you could say its a vibration through the car.
