TD5 oil cooler bypass, is it possible, what are the implications?

I have a facelifted disco 2, 2002 TD5. It has loads of black oil in the coolant system, I didn’t pay much for the truck and I don’t want it to turn into a hated money pit. I’m halfway through stripping it down to get to the oil cooler, but how could i blank it off, assuming it can just be...

Range Rover 2.5 Dse Not Starting

You've gotta laugh really. 6 pages of trying all sorts of stuff and we've both bought crappy glow plugs. somebody should sticky a thread marked "DO NOT BUY CHEAP GLOW PLUGS!" cos the extra time you spend chasing your tail could be diverted to far more useful tasks. (like fixing other broken...

    Dont buy cheap glow plugs

You'll omly start looking for faults that dont exist. Pay the money and get some decent ones. I just picked up a set good quality plugs for £16.50. I got them from Motorworld. If anyone wants me to get them a set I will stick em up on E-blag at an agreed time with a buy it now.

Range Rover 2.5 Dse Not Starting

 no further forward. had the injectors serviced on mine and its still a pig to start. must be the plugs. If I spray "easy-start" through the filter it starts first crank. (waits for the flaming to begin for using the stuff) so do you reckon another set of plugs? this is gettin expensive.

WIll classic wheels fit a P38?

Tried the search function first but to no great avail. then found out for myself and replied to another question on the thread asking me if I'd found out. I replied but didnt feel the need to flame the poster for not using the search function. Thanks for the input Sean. You're clearly a C**t.

Range Rover 2.5 Dse Not Starting

After some thinking and some examination I'm not convinced its the cheap plugs, I've removed them and they all heat up to glowing red in approx 5 Secs. I am now going to get the injectors reconditioned. I have noticed my oil level has increased slightly and a bit of diesel knock when first...

    What size tyres

I'm going to go back to 16" rims for offroading and I was wondering if anyone had an idea what the largest size tyre I can fit to them before thay foul? I want mud tyres so they will be aggressive but should the EAS fail I still need to be able to drive it. Your help is apprecaiated as always

where are all the old 16" wheels for p38's

Sorry for jumping this thread but if anyone has any p38 rims of any description without tyres or with little tread left let me know please. I have 18's on mine but I really want some mud tyres so littler rims means littler money. 16's would be ideal I already have the nuts so rims only please.

Range Rover 2.5 Dse Not Starting

I'm still going down this road myself, I'm convinced mine has an air leak into the fuel system but I have replaced all of the splash pipes and the injector with the sensor on it. replaced the glow plugs(but only for cheapies) replaced the clear pipe from the filter to the block, replaced the in...

I would be tempted to loosen the nut on the top of the injector, dont remove it though, just enough to see if it weeps diesel when you are trying to start it. just to eliminate air in the system

Range Rover 2.5 Dse Not Starting

as you look at the picture the fuel filter is in the foreground. on the left hand side as you look at it on my pic there is a square piece of plastic. its at a bit of an angle and has a connector coming from the left hand side. On the underside of this plastic cube there should be a small pipe...
