    Noise N/S Rear Wheel

Many thanks for the advice on the handbrake cable. I had rebuilt my rear brakes recently with new shoes and springs. Didn't realise I had gone the wrong side of the tab with the handbrake cable. All ok now. thanks again

    Noise N/S Rear Wheel

My 2005 TD4 has developed a squeak in the area of the rear nearside wheel. There's no vibration or jerks just the grating noise shown in the video link. Is this a wheel bearing on the way out? thanks all Freelander TD4 Rear Wheel Noise - YouTube

Clutch master cylinder not coming apart from union.

I take it you have a TD4? Change my master cylinder last year bit of a fiddly job for me getting the union apart. I used long nosed pliers. Its like a speed fit try pushing it in before separating.

    gearbox oil change TD4

Bought my oil from the main dealers at just over £10 per Litre. Used my wife's digital kitchen scales to accurately weigh the 1.6L to give me a good guide to how much oil I had put in. Found the first bottle, which was fully sealed had just over 0.8L. Filled the gearbox very carefully with no...

    Oil Leak

While changing my gearbox oil today I noticed a few areas of oil under the car but cant work out where they come from. Oil looks fairly clean. The picture I took doesn't show the oil very well. Its the light brown areas in the picture, the darker parts are totally dry. Any ideas where the oil...

    gearbox oil change TD4

What tools are required to do the oil change on a manual TD4 gearbox? And is it ok to top up while the car is on ramps? Just realised at 103k miles mine needs changing plus I'm experiencing gear change problems when cold in 1st & 2nd. Cheers all

    Lack of power getting worse

The part number is YMQ503320. With mine I went all thru the spraying with contact cleaner to clean the plug but it was basically knackered. For info my car is the 2005 TD4 and it had done about 80k at the time. It is a very common problem of corrosion on the plug on the fuel rail hp sensor...

    Lack of power getting worse

Read this thread I had the same problem few years ago - changed LP pump, filter which did a temp fix but ended up curing by changing the small piece of loom to the pressure sensor on the fuel rail. http://www.landyzone.co.uk/lz/f9/fuel-rail-pressure-sensor-harness-change-154473.html good luck
