completely dpeendant on the roads as mentioned above. my findings on a 500 mile round trip from knutsford to glasgow (CC on the way, no CC on the way back) on the way, with the cruise control i noticed that on downhill sections it would brake gradually to keep speed and have to work harder...

i know it had no detrimental effects on an old beetle engine if that helps!!! it wasn't a snorkel but the air intakes put into the rear wings (porsche911 style) woth a filter 1/2 way through then straight onto the carbs.

thought the grinding kinda noise was coming from the transmission somewhere at first but it appears to be the bottom pulley. is this going to be something related to the crank or does it just need a good greasing? (engine oil was done a few weeks back and level is fine.)

300tdi, 1998 r plate. its been a little sluggish the last couple of days and this morning i noticed a horrible clunking kinda noise coming from the transmisison type area. its probably over due a full service so i'll sort that asap but in the mean time, how do you fill / topup gearbox...

whats the verdict on them??? i'm now thinking about sticking them on a second set of rims for when it goes off road but the question is what are they like on the road??? i don't want to change them at 2 in the morning after a nights shooting from the disco and would need to trek to work and...

just been on a longer run than my normal run to work and it was fine...... maybe it is just the switch but i'll check it out just to make sure. the engine doesn't seem (from the guage) to be running hot at all, it stays a fraction below halfway on the temp bar all the time.

just changed the oil - everythings tight enough, no leaks anywhere, clean oil and plenty of it. when the engine gets hot then i stop and start idling the oil light will come on then go off again with the slightest increase in revs. is it possible this is just crud on the sensor (i did leave...

make a custom visor from scratch..... ebay a visor, strip it back to the framework, strengthen it, make the mount as mentioned from fiberglass or even try and get someone to vacum form some plastic around it! you would need to make a clip or similar to go into the map slot above it to hold it...

you could make a frame out of the thin square mesh used for rabbit hutch doors and layer it up with some fiber glass, paint it, couple of self tapping screws through the bottom to either the dash or in frint of the diff lever and roberts your mothers brother. i'm making a switch panel to fit...

take them off, take out the bulbs, leave them to dry out properly. get some silicone sealant and a gun and seal the edges. it worked on my indicators, just make sure it dries out before you stick them back in to avoid the lamps getting glued in there for good
