Managed to acquire a set of genuine roof bars but it has no locks, just a plastic piece that you turn through 90° to secure the top cover. Can you get locks to replace these plastic bits? If so any links to the locks would be appreciated. Ta

Changing the rear air bags on my disco 2 today. I have a hawkeye which i am told i can use to de pressurize the system before removing the old air springs. The only thing however i can find on the hawkeye is in the circuit test section which allows you to raise and lower each bag individually...

Had a look at my brothers disco and there is oil in the ecu plug. Engine runs fine still but would this cause the m and s lights to come on or does gearbox have seperate ecu?

Doh. That turned out to be worn contacts on the starter solenoid. Fixed with a 10 quid kit off ebay😃

So i have this morning changed the oil and filter in my d2 autobox. Changes gear much smoother now so I'm very happy. One question though, i only managed to get about 4.5 litres of oil back in the gearbox. Is this correct?

All fixed. Easy job. Although i did find that with the hvac unit removed the engine would not turn over?!?!?!
