ye olde classic, white smoke ;)

Under vacuum would be more accurate lol. It was filter side of the turbo so the 'blockage' was just the resistance from the filter and intake pipework. Checked the swirl pot on the tank which is all I am aware of that end and it was running nicely. When all this stupidity sorts itself out at...

ye olde classic, white smoke ;)

ok lift pump swapped over, all fuel lines checked and re-tightened, filter checked and system bled. Checked air intake pipework and tidied it up, removed one bit that was collapsing under pressure. This has resulted in a fair bit of improvement. The problem has now changed however :rolleyes...

Why did you buy a Defender

Had a Jeep cherokee which I loved but was fecking expensive to fix due to lack of a parts market. Decided a landy would be a better option so hunted one down. Was not a long decision making process and it only took 5 seconds to convince the missus too!

Retrofit of power steering in a 1990 Land Rover 110

Currently adding power steering to mine. Mainly because the new engine has a pas pump and I couldn't be arsed bypassing it. Can't promise this will help. You'll need a pas pump fitted to the engine and the drive belts to run it, header tank, left hand 4 bolt pas box and lhd hoses. Not sure...

    clutch fork replacement

Hello again all, long time no posting lol... So really stoopid question I expect but... Do I need to grease the swivel and other contact points when replacing the clutch fork? Also does the input shaft need anything on it? After some stoopidity destroyed my 2.5na I'm dropping in a 200tdi, and...
