Hi Folks,

Had just done the regular 15 mile drive to work in my G Reg, 1989 Defender 110.

About a week ago I found a black screw on the floor under the steering column, looked around for a hold but couldnt find its home so I laughed it off.

But today I found a clip on the floor !? Please have a look at the pic and let me know if this clip holds the whole car together or if I can put it into my missus make-up case to add to all of them hair clips etc.....

Thanks

Why are you concerned about a tiny thing like that??? Bung it out the windy, if you find a BIG thing laying on the floor, it's what the little yoke held in, so chuck it all out the windy. Job sorted. :D

If it was a Gaylander, you should be very worried...:D

Not sure

Looks too big to be a clip that holds the clutch/brake pedal to the push rod - but worth checking!

May also be the clip that holds the window winder on?

I'm sure James will ID in seconds:D

Looks like one of them clips that fastens an electrical block connector.
To stop it shaking loose and coming undone.

or even just a split pin been used to bridge something during a test of electrics at one time, theres nothing under the dash of an 1989 that uses anything like that
