I mentioned silicone tape as a repair for the filter to turbo on me 110, just to wrap around as a seal but I see 1 metre lengths advertised at half the price of the replacement part NTC 2660 which is about £50. Blue ,black or red seem to be on offer all over fleabay, wonder if it is worth...

Hi Vilguy, what's the gen on that silicone pipe stuff ? I need to replace the air hoses on my 110 2.5 TD but all the stuff advertised is for TDI's and onwards. defender heater motor replacement

What have you done to your Landie today.

Metal ,plastic etc they claim and it's good for sealing and insulating up to 8000 volts but it's too wet for me to go outside to test it. Only reason I bought it is that there is a minor age related leak in me intake pipes [and in the 110 too :p ]and I can't find a new set of hoses at reasonable...

What have you done to your Landie today.

By coincidence I have just come back from Halfrauds with 2 rolls of FIXX-IT tape to do a temp job on me filter to turbo pipe and this may well get you out of trouble for a bit. It is one of these self bonding silicone thingiebobs good for up to 500 psi if you believe the blurb.
