New to this site, but just wondered if anyone could help. I paid £120 plus parts to have a damper pulley replaced on a td5. ... Anyone every heard of this happening before, could the crank end be damaged??
You will probably get more replies if you start a new thread on that topic rather than piggybacking on an unrelated existing thread.

Regards

fixed the poxy nsf door lock with a spring out of a spare drivers side lock. just need to remember that one now doesn't have one if I need to use it

Did some more on interior and fitted handbrake
Still cant decide where to put night heater, looking like front of tub in the middle:)

Not actually today but over last few days......
Bought a Mud bulkhead bar at LRO show and fitted that last Saturday, big improvement to comfort. Also bought a steering shield and fitted that yesterday. Happy now, for a while!

Stuck on a cheapo snorky from the Summer Range of Landy fashion from LR parts and tested all the mods to the heater made over the last few days and all the new lights as the old lot were rotten, fog lamp was actually full of water. The new bilge blower works much better than the Landy original one in me 1990 110 CSW

My power steering pump to box pipe has rubbed and is now leaking. Its the metal part of the pipe but I can't seem to find a direct replacement for the whole metal and rubber pipe.

I have a td90 with a 200tdi fitted and wondered if something strange has been made up to fit it. Here is a joint between the metal pipe and rubber flexi bit

The rubber hose is then adapted back to a metal pipe that bends round into the pump. Bit hard to see but its down there!

Anyone have any idea if this is a part I can buy or do I have to get each individual part and make it up.

Did notice that the long metal pipe from the box doesn't seem to be bent in the correct ways so it sticks out a fair bit.

By coincidence I have just come back from Halfrauds with 2 rolls of FIXX-IT tape to do a temp job on me filter to turbo pipe and this may well get you out of trouble for a bit. It is one of these self bonding silicone thingiebobs good for up to 500 psi if you believe the blurb.

Ha cheers for that. Ide rather replace as soon as pos. I can drive my work van about but rather have me landy! Does that stuff work on metal?

Metal ,plastic etc they claim and it's good for sealing and insulating up to 8000 volts but it's too wet for me to go outside to test it. Only reason I bought it is that there is a minor age related leak in me intake pipes [and in the 110 too :p ]and I can't find a new set of hoses at reasonable price for the 2.5TD, all the sites show from TDI onwards only.
