My mate has just phoned me and said he has just bought an L reg range. I pressume this is a range classic. He said the suspension is down and won't go up. I will know more tomorrow but can anyone suggest where to start and is it the same system as the p38. thanks jim

is there any where on the pump to bleed the fuel

If my coolant temp sensor was faulty and palying up my fuel system would unplugging it and road testing make it run better or the same.:confused:

I have changed fuel pump in tank, fuel filter, leakoff pipes, re seated no6 injector, i have run it from the injection pump straight into a pot of deisel also run it with coolant temp sensor and air temp sensor disconnected and it still running lumpy on tickover a loss of power. I had same sort of problem driving to north devon. Drove 197miles there it cut out. then 190 miles on way back cut out again. tested the delivery of pump in tank and while testing it the pump stopped when i tapped tank with hammer it startded again. so i changed pump.

Thanks brookediamond. I changed the pump in the tank about a month ago coz it was playing up. Also changed the fuel filter. Also change the leak off pipes twice coz the new set expanded within 2 weeks, just put a new set on tonight run like a dream and road tested ok. Then my mate said come over...

could the leak off pipes cause my diesel engine in my range rover to tick over rough {hunt} if they were very loose and come off if you catch your finger on them.

My engine is hunting on tickover. It's a 2.5 BMW lump. Any ideas.
