Yes it's an lt77. I have a 90 as well and the knob is the same but low is forward. Is there 2 sorts of transfer box? Maybe I have used the wrong knob?

Hi I have just changed the gearbox and transfer box in my 110 but for some reason when I select low as it's shown on the knob the box is in hi and when I select hi as it's shown the box is in low? I thought low was always forward? And ideas as to whats going on? Thanks in advance :confused:

Hi a friend of mine has a 2004 td5 that had a leaking power steering box which I have just replaced for him I used just normal power steering fluid in it but he is a bit worried as some one told him that it needs a special type of fluid and that's why the seals went in the first place? I've spent some time on it again tonight and have found that I have fuel getting to the pump as it should I have blead both bleed screws and there is no more air in it but I still have no pressure coming out to the injectors so maybe I will need a new pump after all :mad:

Hi I have bleed the Pump on both bleed screws on one of them the fuel pumps out with the engine turning but on the second one the fuel just trickles out regardless of wether or not I'm cranking the engine over. I have then loosened all 4 injector pipes but still get very little fuel from them? I...

Well I have just had a quick look and I have diesel getting in and out of the filter but it's not getting to the injectors? Any ideas what I should look at next? Thanks in advance! I'm not sure about the wipers as s2's are new to me

thanks for the good comments im very very happy with it. it used to be a truck cab but apart from that i dont thin much has been changed in it 40 odd years!

its a diesel. it is good on the bottom as it has been well kept by plenty of wax oil! it came with a long mot so that helps as well.

im picking it up first thing in the morning so should be home by lunch time!

I have one fitted to my lifted 90 and it works well. it does not rtc fully but helps alot. It has in no way made the steering harder but does look good :)

I see thanks for the help. So I need to find a box from a defender then? Is there any other land rover I could get a box from that will work?

Is the tdi engine further back then? Can I use the bell housing from my defender?

Does anyone know if I can fit a disco 200 tdi gearbox into a defender with a 19j engine?
