    Good point I don't know if she is knocking big ends but when she is warmed up and under load she's sounds like a diesel. Also if I rev up out of gear I can hear quite a solid knocking. Its not the tapets cause i did them and the are just fine.

    Hi I have a 2a 3 bearing 2.25 petrol engine and I think my big ends are knocking. So my question is. How could I tell for sure? If it is the beg ends can they be replaced with the engine insitue? Is it a difficult job ? And about how much would it cost? Thanks

    Aye we finished off with a ford for that very purpose but i think the damage was done earlier in the day. We did no more that 30 miles the whole day but it F*** me shoes.

    Nope the two back breaks have at the most about 1mm of pad and I now cant get enough adjustment on the cams to set them up correctly and my pedal takes a couple of pushes to pump them up. Also a whole load of fine gray slurry came out when I took them off.
