    looking for advice please

If not doing big miles I would strongly recommend getting a 5.0 Supercharged over the diesel. They are pretty well bullet proof (for a RR), quick and incredibly refined. Downside is heavy fuel consumption especially if you regularly use the available grunt. Next best is the 4.4 Diesel V8, gives...

    Gearbox?

. If it won't rev more likely an engine related fault than a gearbox issue. I would start by checking the injector wiring loom for a break in the wiring or a dodgy connection.

    AC Drains

Open sun roof a pour a small amount of water into each of the front drain holes. Wait a few minutes and see if water drips out of both drain exits. If it does, all is okay, if not you have a blockage or dislocated pipe.

    L322 EWS immob location?

Sorry 2.0 Hippo and you are correct, just couldn't warrant the cost of such a fine piece of kit myself. Did have an IID tool and it was a wonderful widget to have, but not capable of key programming:-(

    L322 EWS immob location?

There is a guy called Daveo, from London, who can program the EWS for you, you need to remove it from the car and send it to him, unless you're in a position to take the car to him. It's a whole lot cheaper than spending £1K+ on the appropriate diagnostic kit. He can be found at the end of the...

    2007 MY iphone 5 cradle?

There is an official iPod adapter kit from Land Rover, however it is very expensive, check on eBay as sometimes there is the odd one for sale at a decent price. Re your bluetooth connection, 1st thing to try is clearing the car's bluetooth module's memory. Do this by first taking the key out of...

    L322 EWS immob location?

The EWS is located under the gear selector console, on the drivers side (RHD vehicles). The 2006 & on facelift cars switched to a different EWS & are not programable with the BMW tool, at least to the best of my limited knowledge. About 10-15mins worth of dismantling to get at the EWS, although...

What did you do with your Range Rover today

Washed it, then took the SWMBO up the street to get some shopping & the offside rear brake calliper seized on. Had to take the calliper off its mount and exercise the piston. Cleaned everything of old brake dust & reassembled and all is well now.

What did you do with your Range Rover today

Used it to drive to the "local" hospital to visit my two nephews wives, both in the same hospital at the same time. One has just given birth to their first child, a healthy bouncing baby boy. The other...to offer inadequate support on their miscarriage (8 weeks). Sometimes Range & Land Rover...

Parrot bluetooth adaptor for pre amplified head units.

Yes, this unit does use the stand alone amp, in the case of the Range Rover, mounted in the boot. This means that the volume balance front to rear needs to be preset via this adaptor before finalising the install. you can then alter the overall volume via the normal controls (head unit and or...

Parrot bluetooth adaptor for pre amplified head units.

I had fitted a Parrot Bluetooth hands free kit to my previous vehicle, A range Rover P38 4.6 Autobiography. As the head unit in that vehicle sends its signal to an amplifier, I needed to add this bit of kit to the install to make the Parrot work successfully. As a bonus it allowed me to stream...

What did you do with your Range Rover today

Removed my drivers door lock and fixed the sticking button that sometimes causes it to fail to unlock. Then took a load of garden waste to the local recycling centre. Oh and got sunburn on my bounce, summer must be coming:-)

What mileage is on your Range Rover L322 or RR Sport on?

One year of TD6 Vogue Se ownership has been a positive experience. nicer to drive than a P38 ( ride quality excepted) Although not without the odd fault but not that expensive to run bearing in mind its a high end & heavy vehicle. I've owned every thing from a 1957 mini to brand new cars & the...

    Parking sensors

Turn your ignition on, put it in reverse and then go and put your ear to each parking sensor. You should hear a rhythmic ticking noise coming from each sensor. If any sensor doesn't emit the ticking then, check its wiring for chaffs, breaks and dodgy connections. If its wiring is intact, then...

What did you do with your Range Rover today

Got mine through the MOT at the second attempt, Yeh!! It had failed at its 1st attempt on a worn RHS rear upper outer bush, so I got that bush replaced on both sides to be safe via our trusty Land Rover dealer in Belfast. Came in at a reasonable £194 + Vat all in.
