    Kickdown fault

I have a 1999 4.6 Autobiography which has developed a mind of it's own as far as the kickdown function is concerned. I recently had "gearbox fault" appear on my dash when out the other day but it immediately went away and the car seemed to be functioning just fine as normal. So I did nothing...

How to replace key fob buttons guide

That's fine, but we're talking about the buttons not the batteries I thought. The buttons are a piece of cake. Plus I've changed my batteries and had no issues. I don't see what could be hard about whipping in and out a couple of batteries anyway...

How to replace key fob buttons guide

I have just replaced my key fob buttons for my 1999 RR. It couldn't be easier. All you have to dois prise out the buttons at the edge with a sharp knife or small screwdriver. You will do no damage to the buttons as they are much lower than the cover you are replacing. Then, just push the new...

Can I not just keep using the existing one with the blue cable removed? And No, I don't have key 2. Is that a problem?

    Engine immobilised!!!

I tried a keyfob reset upon my return to the car tonight without initial success. Accessing the rear side shelf from the rear seat/seatbelt mount area (by taking out one screw and a couple of clips), I disconnected the blue wire and then reset the keyfob in the door as you said. FANTASTIC...

    Engine immobilised!!!

Thank you for the advice. I really appreciate it. Is that likely even though the car is in the same street almost daily?

    Engine immobilised!!!

I've just popped down to the post office in the village and got out of the car and tried to lock it, but it would not lock using the remote. So I locked it using the key. When I came back I still could not unlock it and used the key again. I put the key in the ignition and the dash came up with...
