    Draining water from sill?

My P38 has started draining water from the N/S sill, it appears to be from a drain hole below the rear door. I have seen this twice today after parking the car & I suspect it may be related to the aircon vent. I get a small puddle under the drivers side vent, I don't get one under the passenger...

Cost around £15 IIRC, mine came from Rockingham Landrovers but I think they got it from LR anyway. Ian

    Gearbox fault - low battery?

I've been away for a couple of weeks, went to start my P38 4.6 this evening and it doesn't turn over and I get a gearbox fault message. I've done some searching and this seems to be caused by voltage drop so I've got the battery on charge. My question is whether this fault will just clear itself...

    Which exhaust system is this?

Thanks, mine aren't welded on however, they are connected by flexible pipes, hence the different location. Ian

    Which exhaust system is this?

Yes, the TP24 does look similar, on my car the tailpipes are connected to the centre box by flexible pipes, it's the end on one of these pipes that has corroded so a replacement tail pipe alone won't help. I really need to identify the full system I suppose. Ian

    Which exhaust system is this?

Can anyone identify which exhaust system this tailpipe belongs to, I need to replace one of mine if possible: Ian

V8 Oil Filler - does end matter?

My rocker covers are in a mess so I bought a pair of eBay, they were rough too so I sent them for powder coating. I picked them up today and the LH cover is different to the one I have on my car, if I fit the new cover the oil filler will be next to the bulkhead/firewall, I think there will be...

    muti plug

Just a query, would silicon grease not be just as good for this? I used to do a lot of diving and used silicon grease for electrical connections for lighting units, this kept the moisture out and seemed to work very well. Ian

    Genuine parts Vs others.

It sometimes pays to haggle with RB, I got £30 off the cost of a new radiator for my P38 when I pointed out I could get it cheaper elsewhere, they didn't match the best price but came a lot closer. Ian

    Lrt 60-004

In the past I've just asked a garage or a machine shop with a press to push bushes (not LR ones mind) in for me, I've never paid more than the price of a couple of pints either. Ian

    RH Rocker Cover Breather

Thanks Ray, your setup sounds like the spare pair of covers I've bought, the ones on my car don't seem to have the "trees". I'll get them cleaned up at the weekend and buy a couple of new trees so I can swap them over. Ian

    RH Rocker Cover Breather

I have a 4.6 HSE, the RH rocker cover has a stub pipe which connects to the plenum by a length of rubber hose. The hose was looking ropey so I swapped it out to find that the stub pipe is blocked solid, I can't even scrape the crud out. I bought a S/H pair of rocker covers so I could clean them...
