Changed the steering drop arm today. New one on and now the steering wheel is 45 degree out of alignment. I thought they would only go on one way?! No way its coming off again so guess I just reposition steering wheel??

Hi all As per my last thread did a clean of the red plug going into ECU following oil ingress, after changing injector loom successfully. Obviously jiggled wires and plugs around in doing so. All fine for about 30 miles then on Saturday had the no engine management light/glow plug light issue...

TD5. Last week was first week was first time I saw this light come on for about 2 seconds. Drove 12 miles today and it came on again 3 times. Possible slight hesitancy in revs when it happens. Any ideas or how do I get it diagnosed?

Having now read up on this I realise I cant adjust play in front wheel bearings like the old tdi defender as there is no adjusting nut and there is instead a spacer! I have read elsewhere that you can get rid of the spacer in between the bearings and go back to an adjusting nut/locking...

Not had a TD5 before so was a bit shocked to see the state of the rear fuel filter mounted on offside chassis. Looks like the head has corroded away and that the two bolts will be hard to budge which hold it on. Any suggestions and what part number do I need please?

Is there any solution for replacing the yellow clip mountings on a door card. The bit that the door clip slides onto has broken and they appear to be moulded to the door card, as in picture. Anyone tried glueing the black clip direct onto these, say with araldite?

New to the TD5 engine as had a 200 tdi before. When I start up from cold, after a few seconds I get a groan from the nearside of the engine. (Appears to be coming from left side as I sit in cab). Goes on for about 4 seconds and then never happens when engine is warm. Its not the engine itself...

Any tips for mounting a radio firmly in a Defender TD5. The plastic surround looks like it might be missing a lug or two and appears to have to take all the weight of the radio. Wrap it in foam perhaps? Or any decent mods I can get for the mounting?

My 110 pick up has failed its MOT. Needs some patches on chassis (easy) but also welding up around front outriggers which may need the bulkhead off (which needs replacing anyway). Dont have the time for this as I need a working vehicle. Original Defender 200 tdi engine, fully reconned 2 years...

As above, needed for a farm based workhorse. Must be good all round, chassis, bulkhead and engine. Would consider TD5 or 200/300 tdi. Up to £10k for right machine, pre Midlands area. What's out there please?
