Steering drop arm dust cover

Is a right PIA! Have an MOT advisory. Its a new ball joint kit from Britpart and the larger retaining clip for the dust cover is a coil and terrible to get into place! Any tips how to get it on or info as to who does a kit with a more simple retaining clip

When I lost the spring on mine I kept the boot in place with a bit of copper wire twisted at the ends to hold it.

I've cut bit off my double coil retaining clip and it's a lot easier to manipulate when it's only a single coil. Still holds the rubber concertina in place though.

Or use zip tie. Some rubber gaiters come with zip tie retainers.
