Hi all Im wanting to service my dads petrol 2002 Subaru forester turbo. I've only serviced diesels in the past and changing the fuel filter has just been a case of remove old filter fit new one and turn over until it pulls the fuel through, will this be the same on a petrol or will it cause...

Thanks gratch, wouldnt tappet clearance just cause it to run rough rather than not start? Presume checking tappets is just a feeler gauge on top of the valves?

Hydraulised the engine a while ago, runs fine just smokes white a little so thought i would change it. Cheers

Hi all Changed a bent push rod on a 300tdi defender today, but it wont start now!? Dont have a torque wrench so didnt torque the rocker shaft nus/bolts but didnt think this would cause it not to start. Any ideas much appreciated? Cheers

On a 110 i,m not sure wheather it should be connected or not. However on a 90 its normal for it not be connected as landrover used the same wiring loom on the 90 as the 110 but the rear section of the 110 loom pluged into this connector that all the 90 owners are seeing and then went to the rear...

Hi all. The headlights on my defender 90 300tdi have just stopped working, however i can still get full beam, when i push the switch the dash lights come on but that is all. I've had a good look at the wiring and it all seems fine, and I dont think its an earth problem as full beam still works...

A bit of a long shot I know, but does anyone have a drivers side front wing in coniston green for a def 300tdi, obviously ebay is the place to look but, none in coniston green, i dont mind having to respray it but if i can save myself the job i will! So just thought i'd ask... if you dont ask...

I've been having the same problem with my fuel filter, had a filter removal tool round it (the chain) still no joy, its just slipping. Anybody got any ideas? Cheers

Andymcd, when you talk about height from the floor, do you mean from the bulkhead or from the footwell? I changed the slave a few weeks ago, both with lucas parts, the flexi hose looks in good condition but maybe i should have changed that too? Many thanks for your replys

Don't worry about it, should be fine, mine was leaking so i went to get a gasket from a landrover specialist and they said most dont have a paper gasket and just to use instant gasket, so i did and it hasnt leaked since:)

Hi all, I've just changed the master cylinder in my 1998 300tdi defender 90. When i put the pedal box back in, the pedal looks way too far towards the bulkhead, this is prooved as the assistance spring wont go back on where the pedal is and the peadl wont come back any further. Any ideas...
