I am no expert but I don't think the engine mounts contribute to the noise experienced in a defender, they are just noisy by nature. You can soften it a little but its always goona be on the loud side of things.

Just to add I believe tfl use the dvla database to confirm whether a vehicle is compliant or not, so in theory once you've got the v5 amended you should be fine.

amend your v5 by hand, cross out 4x4 utility and put in estate in the relevant box, take a couple of pictures of the interior to show its an estate then write a brief covering letter saying the v5 needs amending, nothing to detailed just instructing them to make the changes then post it all off...

I've had both and I would say the only real world difference is that bfg's will give more mileage but the grabbers are also very good its just the bfg's are interstellar.

I made card templates first then cut the film to these, it not that hard as the defender windows are flat and easy to work on. There are quite a few videos on you tube showing how to apply the film to the glass which are very helpful.

I'd second that, I split a few trying to force them on, put' em in hot water to soften them and they go straight on.

It doesn't rust, doesn't leak water and oil and doesn't smoke. Surely that's gotta be a rare Land Rover:)

I have used ajd land rovers in hoddesdon a couple of times and they were very good. They know their stuff and also are not too pricey, can't say fairer than that.
