could a worn/faulty ignition system cause the above symptoms then ?

hi all have a problem with a friends p38 it's started to idle badly one min it's cutting out the next min it's over revving have tried maf,ic valve,throttle position sensor and also had Ecu tested and came back with no faults so if anyone has any ideas that would be great he fitted a LPG system...

can get nuts and spiggot rings on ebay six one two is the name of the company i used i think about £80 for the lot iirc

never hardly headgaskets usually cracked block/liner trouble go with the new engine

i got some rr wheels forsale if you want them wheels are in good condition and tyres have approx 5mm i would say of l322 rr looking for £275 pm me if interested

if the problem continues i would suggest getting the ecu checked as i have recently just solved a very similar problem my car was doing exactly the same and after changing 02 sensor,maf etc etc it turned out that the ecu was faulty had it repaired and been good as gold defo worth getting it...

there are 2 diff sizes as far as i can remember think 21mm and 23mm measure the hole the nut goes through and thats the size you need there a company on ebay called (six one two) i have always used them and very helpfull quick service you will need spiggot rings if you dont already have them...

download the free software and but a cable for around £10 mate and job done also have it for the future (im sure you will need it again lol)

the lights only flash when you first start it as there letting you know when its reached temperature when you have 4 green lights flashing drop the revs and it should go solid light and then the 4 lights act as a fuel gauge for the lpg this how my e gas system worked if you contact e gas they...

finaly got the problem sorted the ecu had failed causing all the probs so just to thank evryone for the help/suggestions cheers

try pressing the interior light button and holding if for a few seconds and see if related maybe coincidence i did have the same prob but cant remember what i done sorry but would try the lights first as may be nothing

i got a quote for a wrap on my subaru and they wanted 1150 + 250 for door shuts etc so not really any better than a paint job other than the fact it can be removed

how do i check them is this a case of putting a mm on one of te wires and checking for a voltage or something or am i way of sorry if a stupid question but am tryin to learn and getting abit over my head now lol

yeah they are i think defo had correct plugs was no need to alter any wiring could there be any other reason for not switching other than a faulty 02 sensor for example maybe the wiring pre plug to the sensor etc as would be suprised if both sensor were faulty to be honest but then this is a...
