Folks,
Sadly I don't have enough room to own a Disco 3 and a RR P38 so sadly the P38 will have to go.
Where is considered the best place to sell P38s.
Mine is a 1995 2.5 DSE which has served me well, and taken me to my 'retirement project' in France many times without incident. When I bought it, I only wanted it to tow my mini digger to the Dordogne and then sell it. But as we all know something happens when you own a Land Rover and so my love affair started. New airbags and reconditioning the EAS valve block has made the suspension ultra reliable. According to my Landrover specialists who did the MOT, it must be something special because it passed the MOT with no referrals, something of a rarity!
So where do the collective wisdom recommend. Auto Trader or Ebay and how much? Reliable, good nick inside and out for its age, all the electrical bits work, with a PSI chip box I get close on 30 mpg and its 'only' done 160,000 miles. How close to £3,000 could I get?

From experience I have always sold cars and bikes quicker and easier on EBAY. May be worth removing the PSI chip box and selling that on ebay as it will make some money. As a guide I bought in June a 1999 DSE with 130K on the clock for £4600. It is in very good condition. Difficult to value yours as a Range Rover will sell on condition rather than just age. Is it auto or manual and do you have some photos to post?

I bought my November 2000 DHSE for £4850 18 months ago on Ebay. Good clean condition, everything working (not for long LOL) 2 previous owners, 90K miles, PSI Power box. Done the usual things, airbags, window regulator, aircon condensor and a height sensor. It has never let me down. (That's tempting fate)

autotrader if you want to see good money i would say and should get around the £2500 mark but ebay a good way of getting it out there

I placed and ad for mine on here, difflock forum and pistonheads. I did vet a premium ad on ph and 90% my enquiries came from there.

Hey,

I'm trying to sell my p38 as well, do you have any advice. I have a 1999 p38 autobiography model (rare), I've recently received a ban (driving in my alfa) so its a very reluctant sale. RR 4ever :)

have you tried the FOR SALE section  or ebay sometimes works

i buy and sell a lot of cars i would allways buy from ebay or other traders as they go cheap but i would never sell a car on ebay never make enough money a lot of time wasters aswell.
i allways sell on autotrader they fetch proper money and if someone comes to look at it they are there as they want to buy one not sat at home play bidding!
if you sell on ebay you will be lucky if it makes 2k!
