hi all have a problem with a friends p38 it's started to idle badly one min it's cutting out the next min it's over revving have tried maf,ic valve, throttle position sensor and also had Ecu tested and came back with no faults so if anyone has any ideas that would be great he fitted a LPG system a while back this is the only major change that has been made but was running fine for a good while and does the same on petrol or lpg so don't think it's related just thought I would mention it thanks in advance people

oh dear, the answer is to go through everything, being lpg the ignition system has to be in excellent order, have you replaced the distributor recently, should be around every 6 months, look at the ignition leads at night,if they are arcing then rerplace,is the coil ok, battery in good health, check all earths. if all else fails well it is getting near november the 5th fill it full of fireworks light blue touch paper and retire remember to stand at least 5 metres away, grab some potatoes and marshmallows, not forgetting sparklers.:D

sorry ment lpg

you're going to have to go through a process of elimination,no short cuts, sorry no clues lol
the lpg would not of caused this problem, however can't rule it out.
waiting for wammers or datatek for further input, they may have a better idea and may know exactly what it is.
