You don't need to change it or fit a mafam because its only used to control the egr valve on the L series Freelanders. So if its playing up, just disable the egr valve by disconnecting the thin vacuum pipe from the actuator capsule. You should notice improved low speed pickup. Ron

Never in over 1200 sales has a Synergy ever affected the ecu. Its no more possible for it to do this than a faulty sensor. Eg. if a sensor went short circuit then it may cause a 'surge' within the ecu which could affect it. But the engine would probably not run at all and in any case the ecu...

That explains it. The mafam won't boost the torque above what is supposed to be there with a good maf. A Synergy 1 or 2 will and there will be no mistaking the effect the turbo has. Ron

Photo of the egr pipe. As you can see, a lot of work goes into making them. 75/Zt owners who have been fitting them this wekend have all said the improvement is noticeable, wiht more torque and reduced or eliminated smoke with a Tu3 or Synergy on max. Ron
