    4.0 oil leak p38

    Ok so had the motor a couple of years . Seems its had an oil leak from new. never leaves a drip on the floor but from the oil filter back its wet. the steering arm is covered . can't make out if it's the oil cooler pipes. Is there a usual suspect?

    engine blew on the A14 today

    Not me ,but was passed by a nice looking P reg this afternoon heading east on the A14 towards March. 10 miles up the road and there's a cloud of oil smoke and said rangy billowing smoke and in a layby.... Couldn't stop to help as was passed to quick.... hope they got home.

    P38 Autobox no dowl pins and shattered flexplate

    I have just removed my transmission from a 1996 4.0 se P38 and was surprised that there are no Dowl pins in the bell housing to engine join. Is this normal ? I find it strange as this would help with the alignment of the gearbox. Also the Flexplate or intermediate plate had cracked completly...
