There’s no bit for the vac pipe to attach to but apart from that it looks like the one in your pic. In fact it’s this one here http://www.egr-delete.co.uk/product/land-rover-freelander-td4-egr-removal-kit/

And another one, the pipe with the yellow plug is the one that went to the EGR valve.

Hi Nodge Thanks for that, it’s very much appreciated. I shall pop out now and take some pics. I was also surprised at it being a prefacelift on a 54 plate as I have had a previous freelander on a 54 plate which was the facelift model. Thanks again, I’ll pop out now to take some pics.

Freelander 1 Vac pipe just hanging there.

Hi folks Recently fitted an EGR delete to my 54 plate Td4 (prefacelift) and while blanking the vac pipe it came off at the other end to the EGR valve. Once I’d worked out where it refitted I noticed another vac pipe next to it that was just hanging loose. It’s a fairly long pipe so I don’t...

What have you done to your Freelander today

54plate Td4 S Bought it last week for £300, today I did the clutch master cylinder as the pedal was on the floor. Also fitted a replacement alternator, EGR delete, full service and filters (swapped the oil breather for a separator), new serpentine belt and new wipers. Sorted the airbag light by...

    Electrical connector TD4 fuel pump

Having suffered intermittent issues for a couple of days I have just replaced the fuel pump (was britpart and sh*te). While changing it I noticed the electrical plug to the pump has obviously got warm and melted a bit so I need to replace it. Anyone got any idea where I can get one? I've tried...

    unpleasant surprise

Seen & rebuilt much worse than that, just depends on if it has already been bored out or not. You can go +60 thou but +20 will probably sort it

    LR S2A Steering relay oil

Remove 2 of the bolts holding the top on and fill with oil through one of them. The second one acts as a breather DO NOT REMOVE ALL FOUR BOLTS, doing this may lead to extensive NHS treatment. Relays are damned dangerous things if you don't know what you're doing :D

    Daihatsu Taft

We used to have one around the farm & I remember it as being pretty damn good off road & a lot more reliable than the Land Rover

Diesel Injector: Thread size of the fuel pipe connector

1/4" BSP rings a bell (may be 3/8" but will almost certainly be BSP)

What to look for ? Series 2

Terry the welding wood on Facebook for front panel repair parts, highly recommended

    HD springs?

I'm guessing the winch etc is fairly heavy and as such I would go for 11 leaf fronts. GB springs are as good as anyone, don't use Britpart........they are s**t

Apologies I thought you meant changing the whole thing. I think you can change the barrel but you still need to take whole mechanism out.
