hi again ive got some de cat pipes lined up of a mates 4.6 thats being brocken an he only wants £30 for em got the lamda sensors an evry thing:D.My question to the masses is the rest of the system looks new so what are peoples views on universal back boxes to release the v8 noise.Anyone tried...

could the smoke be stem seals or something major?

oh yeah also some times at full throttle i get blueish smoke out the exhaust what could this be

ever since i did the head gasket ive had a airbag fault on the dash:confused:.I can only think ive moved something when the steering shaft went back in or the kids have dislodged a connector:mad: but i have no idea were to start looking any help please:D:D:D:D:D

yes 4.6 1997 p38 i dont know about another hole in the block

no oil pressure gauge its the electrical one and the sender is to big to fit were the oil switch goes it fouls the tensioner

any one got any ideas or have i upset you all:confused: your normally so helpful:D:D:D:D

were can i buy a oil filter sandwich plate for my4.6 or does anyone know what thread the oil filter is to try and get one off bay

so is semi synthetic ok to use in my engine as ive just done the head gaskrts and plan on oil changes evry 4-5000 miles and dont want to do any harm to it

ive read all the info you have all put on here about what oil should be used.I have a 4.6 p38 the book says i need 10w/40 but evrywhere i go they only do semi synthetic is this ok to use or not:confused:.If not could you help me and tell me were you lot get your oil from any help appreciated...

has anyone got or know were i can get an adapter for a oil pressure gauge i need the bit that scews into the block.It looks like a 1/2 inch thread to what i think is a 1/8:confused: thread for the sender i will gladly pay for it and postage thanks

at last finished of the head gasket job and all seems wel:)l.Pretty pleased with myself as its the first head gasket ive ever done:D.All ive got to do now is fix my mates bmw that broke down:doh: on me when i borrowed it cos my range was off the road

put a straight edge across it and it all looks fine i am feeling like the luckiest p38 owner in the country at the minute:D

yes the heads have been sent away to be tested and skimmed
