Help required

I have a p38 4.0 on gas the left side manifold gives the impression it is blowing but it's not any idea's what it could be

It gives the impression? but its not?

Yes it sounds like the blowing is from the manifold but that has been replaced new gaskets also

head gasket thats what mine was doin on the drivers side sounds like manifold.When its cold take off the heat shield put your hand under the manifold and get some one to start it you might be able to feel it i could.Did it start with a chirping noise

Mine blew from down in the join where all the pipes come together on the manifold if that helps....

I had what I thought for a long time was an exhaust manifold blow (a view confirmed by a garage who allegedly took the heat shield off and visually confirmed a crack), but having bought a new manifold and got another garage to check/replace it, it turned out there was nothing wrong with the manifold.

We think it's the cats making the racket, although there is no actual blowing anywhere.

Friend of mine heated it up with blowtorch and then the crack showed up as a dark line.
