Hi I have got a 1993 200tdi defender. i am in the process of replacing a goosed front shock. but not sure if the landy has been lifted. just wondering how you can tell if it has been. thanks

After 18 months without a landy finally got one.:D:D:D sold my last one to get a Mitsubishi l200,:confused::confused: but the land rover bug never goes away.:rolleyes:

checked oils to discover my L/H swivel housing is leaking (chrome ball is a tad battered):doh: and that my power steering pump is also leaking oh and also cleaned engine to find out where that is leaking

yeah i left the green filters in ( as cannot be removed on my landy) cannot tell that they are there if i remember correctly LEDs cost me about $30 (australian company)

i seen them in a landy mag. would last me less than 5mins offroad

with it pulling to the left when braking ur right caliper could be seized. take out the pads pump the brake to see if the pistons move (will prob have to undo bleed nipple to get pistons back to position where u can get pads back in) bleeding brakes two front ones if u have worked on front...

refitted alternator today, after it had been tested and classed as ok changed nothing no it (no cleaning etc) now getting 14.23volts to battery gauge is still reading of the scale (time for a new one me thinks) does this suggest my alternator is working correctly sometimes but not others...

when its started it is reading at 17.8v when turned of it varies between 12.1v and 13.7v (reading goes up the longer i hold the multi-metre on the terminals):confused: prob sounds stupid but what will cause a cell to go down battery only few months old is it just unlucky or will something...

i tested it with a multi-metre will try another one tomorrow(incase faulty) once i have refitted the alternator. im on the Isle of Man so ive got nowhere big like halfrauds to get things tested. which is a pain cause when i need big things for landy (chassis:Cry:) it will not be easy

hi got a 1989 2.5td 110 which is overcharging its putting 18v to the battery. fitted a new voltage regulator to the alternator but did not fix problem. so i took alternater to be bench tested come back as no faults found any idea what could be causing this to happen:confused: thanks

:confused:hi my 89 2.5td 110 is overcharging the battery 19.6 volts is the reading i was getting on idle:doh: so i replaced the voltage regulator on the alternater which made it a bit better as i am now getting the reading of 15.1v when at about 2000-2500rpm :doh: but still not...

it's the only place where there is expanding foam someone must of tried a quick fix at some stage :( all the holes i could find in chassis are on pics could have been alot worse as it was parked on a harbour for 12 months:doh: thanks for advice

110 project somthing to do in spare time been quoted £50 to fix chassis :D

hi got a 1989 110 county but the clutch bites about half inch from floor and is next to imposable to change gear :doh:. been told by local garage that it is the master cylinder. just thought i would make sure by asking people in the know thanks

had the exact same problem with mine if you take the steering wheel off you will find a bracket ( could be stuck to the back of the wheel) you need to alter that (left or right) it takes some time to get it right but it is what cancels the indicators it should be in a set of grooves it should...
