help please

hi my 89 2.5td 110 is overcharging the battery 19.6 volts is the reading i was getting on idle:doh: so i replaced the voltage regulator on the alternater which made it a bit better as i am now getting the reading of 15.1v when at about 2000-2500rpm :doh: but still not right

Shouldn't be much more that 14.5 volts so it's still a bit high. Not sure why, though.
