Finally got a 90 with a 200tdi fitted,:D it has a nice lived in look about it, and work starts on it this w/end to give it some attitude.:eek: OBTW, still got the gaylander, a superb vehicle and with the "roveron" gizmo is both fast and economical Fred

I am looking at getting a 90 or 110 defender,( probably a 200 tdi due to funds available) to tow my 1600kg caravan. Could any of you lads give me some idea of the performance i could expect, like cruising motorway speeds? and do they pull well on motorway inclines or is it up and down the box...

My 2.0 diesel temp gauge constantly shows just over the halfway stated in the handbook, in fact it runs at 3/4. Now there is no sign of over heating, there has been no coolant loss in the 700 miles i have done in her, and there is no "bubbeling" in the resevoir, but i do not think the heater is...
