Are you tightening the bleed nipple with the pedal up or down? I usually give it a few pumps then tighten the nipple with the pedal all the way up, works for me.

This is a TD5 set up .

Fuse F14 I think,in the passenger footwell fusebox.

Its a common fault with freelanders ,you need the modified brake light switch part no LXKB500120 and wiring harness pat no LYMQ50328O ,about £25 from L/R dealer.

Its a glass fuse in a single inline fuse holder .

Have you checked the fuse behind the dash/clocks?
