thats the thing. If it were a new backplate it could sound like that, but as its rusty and old, it won't make that sound now. I put a tie wrap on it to pull it back, went for a drive and still there. As I say, it stop when you brake, so if not the brake, it has to be the drive IMO

thats the type of noise, but no, everything checked, and the brake bit would have no impact on that I guess?

Hi All Freelander 2, with 114K... wondering if you can help out here as I have a rattle from the passenger side front that I'm trying to track down. sounds like metal on metal but nothing is lose. Its been getting worst for the last 12 months but now I need to find it. does it when you go over...

okay, thanks I have a bleed thing with a one way valve so that may help... either that or close the nipple every time its pushed down... Will have a look.. cheers

Thats great.. thanks for that.. so we will get the two cylinders and replace them both... but why do you say bleeding the Td5's clutch is stressful anyway? What makes it so hard?? As I've said, I've not even tried to find them yet so that may answer my question when I do... but if they are...

yes.. the garage did this.. once when they fitted the new box and twice since... I'm sure there is not that much air in there?... are the cylinders hard to get at?....

Hi Guy's My mate is haveing a problem getting his TD5 into gear.. he's had the box done and a new clutch and asked them to look at the Master and slave cylinder at the same time... But for some reason they didn't. He's taken it back twice now but they still haven't done it saying bleading it...

hi... yes.. all fuses fitted but does not work... is it a new loom or just a new ECU?.... :)

hi.. its a my13... the plug fits... and its ment to be enabled in the ECU... but just tried it with a trailer boad and nothing works... mind you i've not put the 3 fuses in I took out of my old one, because the fuse box is differant when you open it,, its not the same layout as the old one of...
