had a look this morning,oil leeking from a split in the plastic pipe on the left hand side of the engine,dont know what this part is called or how easy it is to repair or replace,its a u shaped plastic pipe about six inches long and fits between the rubber pipe that feeds the pump and reservoir...

noticed a slight noise when i turned the stering wheel checked the oil reservoir and it was empty,topped it up and its dripping badly from under the engine but i cant see where,its leeking half a litre of stering fluid overnight even when its not running.anyone any idear what i should be looking...

sorted now,went to darwin 4x4 place today and got a new pump £205 but needed my car as soon as so no choice realy,my old pump did not make a sound when i switched the ignition on so i was pritty sure it could only be the fuel pump and all my machanical mates thought the same.fitted the new one...

hi john, checked the injecter caps ,and the loom plug sprayed and cleaned did not make any difference.where is the ecu unit i will check that tomarrow. kevin

hi del yes it was all of a sudden managed to limp a couple of miles realy strugling to get the car to rev realy flat with no power at all then it stopped and wont start at all now but it is trying to fire when the engine is turned . kevin

td5 broke down today,loss of power just managed to get a few miles from home and it stoped all together,rac man squirted some spray into a large pipe he took off the air filter and it started for a few seconds,he said he thinks it must be the fuel pump. any help would be brill. thanks kevin

1999 td5 disco,clutch peddle seems different every time i press it,sometimes i have a good clutch next press hardly any clutch at all and i have to double press to change gear,its not slipping at all could it be the clutch slave cylinder and is this easy to fix. Any info would be great...

been offerd some tyres for my td5,these tyres have come off a defender 90,205/80/16 this chap says they will fit,dont want to get them unless i am sure. any info would be great thanks kevin

damage is on the top of the engine,no damage realy just looks as though the bearings have shatterd in the belt pulley,just looks like a new one just bolts strait on to the shaft.dont know why i have no brakes the fan belt must drive something. kevin
