    Leaks and Squeaks

sounds like a pretty standard landy to me! if its a 300tdi google penny trick my fuel tank rusted out along the seam but yours sounds different. the sunroof may not leak but i bet water pours in through the top of the door jams!

Help! First time buyer, overwhelmed by buying guides!

you said it yourself mate. the defender is the 'proper' land rover which everyone wants so costs more. disco's are good cars and share engines and stuff with the defender, but they don't have the same 'cool' appeal. just my opinion.

how strange, i though all the 10 inch modulars had the wide offset! mine are like your mates, stick past the arches and inch or so. good luck

no rust holes mate! just 2 small ones in the vey bottom of bulkhead. chassis is rock solid! still registered as a NA  if you want a genuine 200tdi, under 100,000 you'll need more money! :p

    will these still fit ok

and the look bent near the chassis

buy mine! 200tdi, fully serviced and a 125,000 engine. they are out there but getting one that is sub 100,000 means it would have to be 93 or newer and there more like £3500...

the plot thickens! having had another look the housing says knecht on it and pipe with the electric connection says GM. so sounds like someone has fitted a different filter to the seller landy. ffs!!
