evening all.

i have two in front of me.

1. one has a long tube sticking down the length of the filter. it also has an electric plug on one of the fuel pipe /banjo / bolt joint thingy.

2. the other has no tube and no electric plug.

i bought a filter for no2 and the guy said 'no tube, that be a 200tdi' no worries. thats already attached to my landy which had a 200tdi conversion done to it by someone else so imo it could be a filter hosing from anywhere!

i just bought filter housing 2 and is from a 200tdi disco. but there different! can i use the same filter? the filters i have say 'all tdi' on them.

hope you can clarify.

the new filter housing is for my boat btw. it is a much cheaper way of filtering with water separation than paying the £60 odd boat people want!

this is pic of one with long tube i just bought off a 200tdi disco. the one on my landy does not have the stick.

maybe they are both 200tdi and use same filter?

the other is like this

DISCOVERY 1 200 TDI, FUEL FILTER HOUSING. on eBay (end time 04-Aug-10 09:40:39 BST)

Im the same as the Ebay one too , is that an electrical connector on the left ?? or is it a blanker ? . well it dont look like a 200 housing thats for sure !!!!

the plot thickens! having had another look the housing says knecht on it and pipe with the electric connection says GM. so sounds like someone has fitted a different filter to the seller landy. ffs!!

do you think that is a pre-warming device - certain Knecht diesel fuel filters have pre-warmers fitted.

Is it connected?
how much current does it take?
does the housing get warm when its connected?

closest I could find was a Vauxhall Omega 2.5 TD Fuel filter housing
