I turn the key but the engine wont crank, there is some clicking noise from the left side, after 4 or 5 attempts it starts as normal, battery is brand new, terminals are good, this has been intermittent for about a month, somedays no probs at all just starts normally others not so, any ideas...

Engine off, removed and checked FL9, ok, replaced then started engine, returned to normal ride height??

no nothing flashing but orange car with arrows(sls?) in bottom left of dash on permanently, also if i press button to raise or lower suspension, light comes on but go,s straight off, usually flashes while car is being raised or lowered.

TD5 2003, I raised the suspension with the dash switch yesterday, and now it wont go down, i drove for 12 miles last night and it is still stuck at max height? any ideas, it had new air bags and ride height sensors 8 months ago.

So off i went to enjoy a days fishing only to find on my return that i had left the lights on, opened the door with the key and the bonnet, to connect jump leads, after a few minutes the alarm was going off the only way to stop it was to lock the door with the key, We now have no response from...

Update, started her up and remembered to close the door this time, and she is pumped up and back to normal ride height, and staying up, now totally confused?:doh:

It seemed to sort itself out and been ok for weeks, and now now this am its sat right down on the back wheels! I started her up but made no difference, so i guess it is a trip to the land rover dealer? am i ok to drive it to the garage like this?

Progress at last, didnt realise that the car had to be in low ratio to operate the off road button, Duh! only had the car 5 years, so put it in low raised up and down a couple of times, then went for a test drive, bing bing has stopped, all level no leaks, so happy with...

mmm, no joy, new ride height sensors fitted, no change, and just to rub it in the radio code in the book wont work, aaargh!

Incidently, when you checked the rear suspension airbags did you jack up the suspension using the dashboard off-road switch. just unpluged the height sensors to see if the light on the dash went off? but it stayed on, the off road switch on the dash seems not to be working...

Many thanks for your informed reply, I have jacked up and done the soapy water test, no leaks/bubbles etc, and i should have mentioned that the car never sits to one side, allways where it should be, so i think I will start with the sensors, they seem to be pretty caked in mud and go from...

Any body had a recent MOT on a TD5, what rpm did yours cut out at. or what should it cut out at?the reallity seems to be different from the specified rpm? what do the two sets of numbers relating to rpm on the pass sheet mean?:lvkiss-106:
