Hi Ben. thanks for the reply. I think it is 2.05 as that seems to flas up very briefly when turning on. can i program the key with just the nanocom unit or does it need to be hooked up to a laptop at the same time? If it can where do i find the function please? thanks.

Hi Ratty, thanks for taking the time to reply. I have a original nanocom or as it is now called a nanocom one. Seems i have to update the firmware of it to be able to get the key code set up. Now struggling to get the nanocom usb driver on lap top to work! Bloody electonics being a pain as usual...

Following on from last post about seized engine, i now know it to be the case unfortunetly!! Looking around for a secondhand engine, wondered if there is any difference between the TD5 engines between discovery and defenders? My old one is a 10P. I do not want to make any basic assumtions so...

Probably not big enough to move it in gear. Let's hope have some luck and will be ok but somehow expecting the worse. Having has quick look second hand engines seem to make good money. About half value of whole vehicle!!

Thanks for that.Will have a good read through on the rave and see what pointers get. Didnt really make myself clear regarding the nanocom. It didnt bring up any faults (clear). Done 180 miles in her today towing 2.2ton trailer and not a hint of binding! Cheers.

Thanks for the quick reply. Plugged my nanocom in to check faults and all ecu clear of faults. No lights on either. Brake fluid is new and firm pedal, so doubt its water vapour/air expanding that could possibly cause the brake to start applying...
