If the diesel spigot is ok, is it easy enough to swap that from diesel gearbox to v8 gearbox?

If it is a gearbox issue am i correct in saying the gearbox from a v8 will be a direct swap for the 300tdi one? they both look like R380?

Im using rubber fuel lines. I managed to cut two of the barb fittings from the old lines but the other two were far too rotten. I have use jubilee clips just now but still trying to track down the correct barbed fitting for the nut on the lift pump and sender unit. The nut part number is NRC9770...

Well its not the lift pump! went back over the system and broke the mounting bracket when checking the sedimenter again but it was handy as i noticed it was nit full of diesel so i think its leaking which was clear after blowing air through the lines. Going to try and bypass it. Can anyone tell...

Tried everything said chyers. Hopefully new lift pump will arrive tomorrow fingers crossed.

I did break the pipe from the lift pump and was getting diesel. Iv bought one along with a filter just incase. Really hope its not injectors looking at the price of them.

There is a priming lever on lift pump. Disconnected all fuel line to and from filter, pump and injectors and seems ok. Im hoping its not injector but if you keep the revs high it keeps running. As soon as you luft your foot the revs drop and she struggles then dies.

It would just be for the body. I have removed the body from the chassis and engine and got it propped up on supports but it would be great to be able to move it. Dont think weight would be a huge issue as seem some big american cars on them.

I like the idea, shame you have already done the work to the body. I have been toying with a tray back or pickup disco so might look into this idea. I problem is getting a defender tub to fit on a 100" dont really have the tools to cut a 110 tub or extend a 90".

Immobiliser issues? I had this but it was a few clicks not just one loud click. I also had issues when i had a poor negative battery conection that was an easy fix remove lead clean up and back on.
