I have a 2014 HSE and the front grille is looking a bit tired and some of the silver has gone and leaves an almost stained looking aftermath Does anyone refurbish them? Either as a drive in drive out service or selling them with a surcharge on the old one for a diy fit? thanks

finally got it out, had to weld a washer onto the end of the shaft and the use a puller on it - it means the box is now dismantled, but i need a new shaft!

tried that - but it wont budge, i've even now managed to break the lip off the casting on the end of the shaft that the retaining plate locates in!

I'm trying to strip down my transfer box but i'm bu99ered if i can get the intermediate shaft to move, any hints or ideas or is there anything obvious i could be missing? Pics would be helpful! Simon

the reason im considering a series III box is for the synchro, I'm quite happy to rebuild it and swap shafts etc? is the II box much stronger than the III? where is the common point of failure on the III box?

I have a 6 cylinder 2a, will a gearbox from a series 3 4cyl fit? I realise i'll have to swap bell housings etc but is there anything else i have to change?
