6 Cylinder Unleaded Question

Does anyone know if my old 6 cylinder will run ok on unleaded without using an additive or will i suffer with valve seat recession?
Does the head fitted to the rover cars (p5 etc) have any harder valve seats and is it a direct replacement?
Will an LPG conversion also need hardened valve seats or will it be ok on the old head?

yer valve seats am allready hardened,but you,ll need harder exhaust valves

and unless yer doing lots of miles at relatively high speeds your not going to see any regression anyways

oh,an if ya int gorra weslake head on it try an find one it,ll give ya an extra 20-25 bhp

25 bhp for a head change? Are the originals really that rubbish restrictive then?

it had summit ta do with a less restrictive airflow,cant remember wot it was thou ,bin that long since i ran a 6 pot

i dont think they had much idea about porting and gas flow back in those days

how do i tell?



is that a weslake or non weslake?

dunt look like it,the main difference is the inlet manifold.
