a gearbox service kit should be no more than £15/20 and approx 5 ltrs of atf dex 3 which your indy should have,only an hour to do,so it shouldn,t cost that much,plus if it hasn,t been done for a few years it will help the life of the gearbox.

did they service the gearbox though.a lot of places when you put it in for a service do the engine and thats it unless specified,which is ok for a run of the mill car but 4x4,s have a lot more bits to service,diffs transfer box auto box etc,even the dealers don,t get it right,which is why i do...

if it,s the auto box i would give it a service first(filter and fresh oil) and on a cold morning let the car run for a good 10mins before pulling away just to let the oil circulate and warm a little.because when it is really cold the oil thickens and can put strain on the oil pump in the box...

i got the gen 2,s but they were the same price as the oem,s when i did mine,but the exchange rate has put the price upon them,as for handling i have found them a lot firmer to oem

you will probably need the proper tool for holding the pully still as i had problems getting mine off even tried all the methods even took the starter of and jammed a pry bar on the starter ring gear,gave up in the end and spent £70 on the proper tool from difflock
