    Kenlowe fans

forgive my ignorance: but which fan controls the cab/windscreen heater. Am thinking of an electric fan for the coming winter on the uderstanding my 300TDi will warm up quicker and an electric fan will put more hot air into the cab than the viscous. Or am I way off?

    Lanes Lake District?

Were the gates locked? If they were legal rights of way as listed on the national park website that would surely be illegal?

    Stealth 110 van camper

Yeah I have to remove the driver's side head rest but I wanted it to do it this way so I can have a couple of full height lockers at the rear and the stove on the back door.

    Stealth 110 van camper

Here's the first step of my stealth camper project. The bed is supported by the dash, a DIY cubby box , the bulkhead and the sills between the body and hardtop. All folds out of the way so can still be used as a van. Next some blinds.

    High Tilberthwaite (Coniston)

Very entertaining reading! Don't have my OS map to hand at work but will be rereading with it to hand. Is ADZ the guardian of Cumbrian lanes...?

    High Tilberthwaite (Coniston)

Well my first mistake was attempting the route in the wrong direction. I'd been hillwalking on the Langdale pikes. I always like a lane to round off a good day and didn't realise it had a one way order on it until I got home. So I attempted it the wrong way. Got as far as the fork heading down...

    BOATs near Formby and Crosby

The landranger 108 shows 2 short BOATS just east of Formby and 2 just east of Crosby. Has anyone driven them? I often go over to the Southport area with the missus but have never got round to checking them out.

    Heater fan mists windscreen

Gave the drain valve a squeeze and a good few mls of water came out. Didn't seem to be blocked. Has done the trick for now. The rubber (is it rubber or plastic) of the drain valve felt very stiff and I don't think it would let water through so I'm keeping an eye on things for now. Got leaks to...

    Heater fan mists windscreen

Had a go at the drain pipe in the intake - quite a bit of water came out. The pipe itself seems to be almost flush against the wheel arch. No wonder it gets blocked. Is this normal? Should I take a stanley knife to trim it back a bit to let it drain more freely?

cutting into my 110 wheel arches - bad idea?

Great. Where did you get the ones where you can access from above. Probably cheaper "off the shelf".

    Hello from Lancashire

Greetings all. I'm a new member. I've got a 110 van I bought from liveridge 18 months ago. I've put some alloys and AT tyres on as I mostly commute on the motorway. Have grand plans for a camper conversion. (See thread on wheel arch lockers). I like to explore the odd green lane but as...

cutting into my 110 wheel arches - bad idea?

I'd reall like wheel arch lockers on my 110 van but don't want to change the external appearance. Have come up with a plan of having a Bucket type open topped box with a lip made up for me out of sheet metal to drop into a hole cut in the wheel arch and rivet it in place. Is this a bad idea?

    Heater fan mists windscreen

Thanks. I'll attack the drain pipe at both ends and cross my fingers. Any easy way of knowing if the heater matrix is leaking?

    Heater fan mists windscreen

Thanks, I'll give that a try. Bit more background: happened a while a go and my local landy friendly mechanic stuck his arm under the bonnet and cleared some gunk out of a rubber drip valve? Said they always got clogged up and that the valve is to separate water from the heater. Does this make...
