Hello all , my reverse light hasn’t been working for some time and I’m just getting around to putting a new switch on the gearbox however it’s a pain to get out I’ve tried modifying spanner’s but still can’t get it out what is the best way to access it

Hello all, just getting around to fitting my new safari door on my 300tdi 90 however I’m having problems with the striker being too close to the door and hitting the latch before it can fasten shut ( the opposite problem to needing shims) any help would be appreciated Cheers

Now then, I want to make my defender ride abit nicer, I don’t need really long travel suspension as it’s just a farm truck and not doing any serious off road(similar to pick up suspension) any suggestions would be appreciated

I should also state that the halo lights work fine with ignition on and the switch set to side lights it’s when I turn the engine on that the headlights then come on

Sorry it’s a defender 90 300tdi , previous owner installed them , I’ve had a new dip dim relay put in

Now then, I’ve got led halo lights however when I have sidelights on the headlights stay on as well just wondering why this might be as it should only be the halo ring lighting up Cheers

Hello, looking to swap the 300tdi out of my 1996 defender 90 and put a m57 in its place, I’m looking to keep the 5 speed gear box. I know people have done this but I have no idea as to how difficult it could be or the cost. How I wire the ecu is also a big question. Any help would be appreciated

Ended up breaking it to get it out , took thermostat housing out and covered the hole into engine with some cardboard and had vacuum into the hole to catch debris, then drilled the bung and drove a chisel in and turned the chisel with stilsens

Any tips on getting the plastic bung out or do I have to break it

Now then , should I have coolant flowing out from the small black pipe at the thermostat housing to the T piece which joins up with the rad and header tank 300tdi 90

Only bounces when at idle revs and starts fine and charges battery
