Thanks, I will get it booked into a gearbox specialist somewhere in Norwich, when I ca get the time off work.

It takes longer to change gear in auto…what used to be changing for example 3-4 it would get to 2000rpm when it used to be around 1500…the garage JSF just said it was on the way out but could treat it with that stuff…it worked but only for about 4 weeks

Not too fused with MPG…used to it by now..just the high revving sits around 2000 in 6th where it used to be around 1500

Think I have narrowed it down, but I need a little help....where is the throttle position sensor located...its a freelander 2 2010 2.2 TD4...thanks

problem today.......while i was accelerating the RPM dial didnt go above 2000.....any clue please....

As in my previous post the RPM kept flicking up when braking from 1000 to around 1500...no power problems no warning lights...but today on the way home from work ...i was accelerating but the RPM stuck to just below 2000...anybody have an idea please.....cant really afford to get it pluged in at...

Is it anything I should be worried about at all.....

Good question....I have no idea...I will investigate...I guess if it does do that then the alternator is at fault?

Update to my problem, I have noticed it only happens when I’m braking from speed ie...60+..the Rev counter drops to around 1000 then just jumps to around 1500 then back down...engine sound stays the same..no increase...not seen it happen at lower driving speeds yet.

Seems like me Freelander 2 is having a few issues...first the suspension on the rear failed.....new front pads and disc needed and now when I brake the revs go up slightly...not a lot but noticeable....I’m holding my breath hoping it won’t be anything too bad, anybody have any ideas....not...
