As in my previous post the RPM kept flicking up when braking from 1000 to around 1500...no power problems no warning lights...but today on the way home from work ...i was accelerating but the RPM stuck to just below 2000...anybody have an idea please.....cant really afford to get it pluged in at the moment.#
Freelander 2 2010 td4 xs 114000

It needs to go on a diagnostic fir a read, or buy yourself a diagnostic device that you can use yourself, to diagnose issues. ;)

Think I have narrowed it down, but I need a little help....where is the throttle position sensor located...its a freelander 2 2010 2.2 TD4...thanks

It doesn't have a separate position sensor, as it's part of the throttle body. It does have a throttle pedal position sensor, which is part of the throttle pedal assembly.

Thanks, I had an error code p0380 which mentiond glow plugs znd throttle pedal/ position sensor/switch circuit A

P0380 is a glow plug code, so really you need to test each glow plug in turn for a resistance of around 1 Ohm.

Ok thank you....backbto square one with my problem....expensive garage visit I guess...thanks again

I doubt the glow plug code is relevant to your issue. However it's not unheard-of for the throttle butterfly to stick closed, or partially open, which would cause power loss.
