J_D thank you, I know that it needs to be vented to air but the other end has pulled off from the turbo vacuum control

Thank you for you quick reply. Really appreciate it. If the pipe is split will it cause any issues? I have got the pipe reconnected now to the Vacuum. Just strange it's happened halfway through my drive and that was disconnected.

Hi all, It was the master. Brought a new one today and fitted it. When clipped the pedal on it was solid. So connected it to the slave and surprised got a clutch. Love pre bleed cylinders.

Just reconnected the slave and its connected with no problems. but the Master cylinder is leaking inside. Does this mean the master cylinder caused the slave to blow out?

I know but its the time to change it. And if I take it to a garage the the cost.

I have had a close look now and its the slave cylinder :( what a joke, its brand new and new clutch. The coupling has blown apart will this mean I still need to change the cylinder or can I just reconnect it?

Luckily this time It was at home already, but thanks for the tip.

I hope not, this is a brand new clutch and slave. and a ball ache to change.

It is Mk1 2006 TD4.

Edit Sorry this is a hydraulic master cylinder.
