i fitted a synergy 2 today and noticed when i took the air filter casing off a pipe with a smaa filter connected to it just sitting behind the engine with nothing on the other end of the filter is this right or has the other end came off i carnt see anything hanging down thanks

a few weeks ago i reversed a caravan up a slope with my td4 and the clutch started smelling bad and smoking.i let it cool down and have since done about 500 miles and it drives fine but when i park up the clutch still smells have i buggered it up ???
