loose pipe

i fitted a synergy 2 today and noticed when i took the air filter casing off a pipe with a smaa filter connected to it just sitting behind the engine with nothing on the other end of the filter is this right or has the other end came off i carnt see anything hanging down thanks

Yes, it's a small air filter for your vacuum system used on the turbo & egr. It's meant to be open at one end.
