Replacing an ancillary/auxiliary belt on a Freelander 3.2 petrol

Thanks Nodge68 for your reply. I think there's more room in the TD4 engine bay. Anybody who works on the Freelander 2 that you could recommend near South West London?

Replacing an ancillary/auxiliary belt on a Freelander 3.2 petrol

Hi all, Has anybody (or their mechanic) in the UK replaced the ancillary/auxiliary belt on the 3.2 engine? My LR2 has just done 103,000 miles. The belt is supposed to be replaced at 10 years or 105,000. There are a number of posts on other sites from the USA but I wondered if anybody had done it...

Hi, First up please: What metal are the rocker covers made of? When new, were they painted or coated? What's the best way to strip old coating and get them looking good? Are the ones from Rimmer Bros any good? thanks (in advance) for any replies. Alan

    P38A Tailgate lock failure

1997 Range Rover P38 4.6 HSE Hi, I thought I'd bought the gremlin-free P38. Everything worked, didn't eat batteries etc. Until today when I went to unlock the tailgate. Pressed the button, reassuring noise, the top opened, pressed the button again for the bottom gate, nothing. The spring...

    DSP problems on '03 L322

Thanks for that – will apply the elbow grease. After all, the unit has been in there since a LR master technician bolted it in 16 years ago!

    DSP problems on '03 L322

Hi Silver Parrot, I removed the 8mm bolts. The mystery unit moves from side to side. However the DSP won't budge. Is there another bolt or am I missing something?

    DSP problems on '03 L322

Thanks SilverParrot. I saw another post that sounded like there was a third impossible-to-get-at bolt. But I'll proceed with caution. BTW I've got in contact with the bloke on eBay that repairs DSP and shown him the photos - and he says he can repair it Thanks

    DSP problems on '03 L322

Hi - Ranger Rover L322 2003 4.4 V8 The audio started cutting out a few weeks ago. Then the car has gone silent for good. I noticed when the problem was intermittent, that the DSP appeared in black, but became white when the sound came back. Now the DSP doesn't even appear at all on the...

L322 The End of Electrical Gremlins!

Over the years on my P38 4.0 V8, 2.5dHSE and recently my L322 4.4 V8 I have suffered power drains. On the P38s they just flattened the battery. On the L322 this meant the usual litany of AC, power steering and air suspension faults – as well as flattening the battery. Initially, installing a...
