Hi all I was wanting to know what a safe amount of boost pressure a 300tdi can take. Mine is boosting at about 1.2bar. Drives fine just nice to have a bit more power

Still no sign of a leak just had it out for a blast run it up to temperature and had the pressure tester on it and had it running with it on with no pressure loss. No sign of a leak or it coming out the back. Any further ideas guys.

Hi all I have a discovery 300tdi that makes a droning noise while under load. The faster I go the louder the noise. Its not wheel bearings or tyres. The noise goes away when you let off the throttle. Any ideas I'm not sure if it's possible diff related

Thanks for the replies. I think I need to do a bit of measuring to see what will hit first either the bump stops on the axle witch is fine or the spring becoming coil bound or the shocks topping out. I have plenty of body clearance for the wheels to tuck into the arches as I fitted a 2" body...

It's a 1995 300tdi with approx 130000 on the clock. It's a manual it had a full service in June including all the diff oils and gearbox. Other than that it was stood for 5 years

Thanks guys. It's looking like a spring issue. It's been fitted with a +2" kit about 7 years ago and and possibly not had the right load rating springs fitted as its quite loaded up with Winch and bash guards ect. Looking like the springs are shot on the off side. So I will be fitting heavy load...
